Storm Highway Severe Weather Discussion

Severe storm and flooding outlook for West Virginia and surrounding region

-----------------------------------------------------
POSTED August 4, 2005
For the week of August 4 - August 12, 2005

A typical summer pattern will persist in the region for the upcoming week, with hot and humid conditions areawide. Isolated thunderstorms are possible each day, mainly along and east of the spine of the Appalachian mountains. Storms should be disorganized enough to preclude any notable flooding threat, but as with any weather pattern, any persistent slow-moving storm would bear watching. At this time, severe weather chances appear low through the period, with the exception of far northern Ohio and Pennsylvania on Thursday.
